Artium—Latin for “of the arts”—is far more than a biannual literary journal; it is a vivid reflection of the often-overlooked creative culture within the Lackawanna College community and the greater northeast region. Our mission is simple: to uncover and showcase unique voices, providing thoughtful readers with hand-selected pieces of short fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction. Artium is a peer-reviewed academic journal of literature. It serves as a repository and record of the collective imagination of the great writers in our community.
